World Suicide Prevention Month – Mental Health

Every year, we lose over 800,000 people to suicide.

It has been found that suicide is the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50. It is also the 10th biggest cause of death worldwide.

Isolation and feeling like a burden are the two leading factors that contribute to suicide.

The feeling of hopelessness and the thought that things will never get better is also another major factor that contributes to suicide.

Speaking up when suicidal is not attention seeking. Having mental health issues doesn’t make you weak.

This month, check in on those around you and listen without judgement. Let’s speak up and save lives.
